MADICO MASTER FILM INSTALLERS
With various films on the market and with differing levels of tint, it can become confusing for the consumer to filter out what he / she really needs for the vehicle. Although, tint and shading percentages represent the amount of light being transmitted through the glass, it does not necessarily mean different films with similar visible light transmission (VLT) would perform the same. Here, we will break down the three major categories of film along with the pros and cons of each.
Dyed or Non-metallized Films / Tint
Dyed or Non-metallized films rely on heat absorption for solar control. Since this type of film does not have any metals coated or sputtered into it, it does not affect wireless transmission signals (gps, am / fm, cell phones, etc.). At the same time, it needs to be noted that this category of film provides minimal heat rejection because of absorption, not solar reflectance, as its primary form of solar control.
Metallized Films / Tint
Depending on film manufacturer, metals could be coated or sputtered onto the film creating a wide array of colors to choose from. The advantage of metallized films would be its excellent heat reduction properties. However, the metals within the film (depending on the system it was applied with) can affect wireless signals to varying degrees. This, in turn, is the downside for the automotive market when many luxury vehicles have antennas built inside the vehicle.
Nano-Technology Films (Ceramic Tint)
Traditionally, it is believed that one would have to choose a dark tint to obtain good heat reduction. This is no longer the case with the inception of sputtered metallization and ceramic tint. With the high-stability and durability of the properties of ceramic, it is now a technology incorporated by several film manufacturers. The most beneficial to the usage of ceramics is the high visibility of the film working in conjunction with superior heat rejection (outperforming most automotive metallized films). In addition, nano-technology films will not affect wireless signals that normally would with metallized films. Adding to this benefit, it also provides a light neutral shade, and superior solar control properties. When it comes to ceramic films there are a limited number of installation facilities carrying the film because it is a more difficult tint to install. Manufacturers want to be ensured that the best results are created by having trusted and most experienced installers using their ceramic line.
We at Premier, pride ourselves in providing some of the clearest / cleanest results possible. Most vehicles will leave our facility with windows that can be rolled down immediately as we take the time to adequately dry and seal the film. With thick ceramic dots (aka – “dot matrix”) that are placed on the top band of some vehicles’ rear glass, we have different ways of treating them so that the film does not lift.
Our installation team is familiar with all makes and models and specialize in Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati, Rolls Royce, Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, and Lamborghini. Rest assured your vehicle will be pampered with the attention that, only you the owner, would give to the car.
Benefits of window film applied by Premier:
- film to be brought to the edge of the glass showing little or no gap (can be shaved to have no edge gap)
- UV protection for interior parts from fading (+99% blockage)
- Scratch resistant coating on all films
- Added privacy
- Solar heat reduction – reduce usage of AC
- Reduced glare for better day or night time visibility
- Holds broken glass together for added safety
- All films carried by Premier come with a Lifetime Warranty from bubbling, fading, purpling, and peeling (parts and labor included)
With luxury and high-end auto manufacturers now producing cars with higher grade leather and suede, it has become increasingly crucial to protect these interior parts from fading and cracking. Besides protecting our properties, there are other benefits of window film. Studies have shown, Ultraviolet rays are also linked to melanoma, a potentially deadly form of skin cancer. It is also important to note that, in an era where youth and appearance is of great importance to many, UV rays are known to advance our skin’s aging process.
Premier Protective Films International carries the highest quality window film in the industry to combat these issues of the new century. All of our window films from Madico block off more than 99% of UV rays, providing industry leading solar rejection properties, and also unmatched adhesive clarity. With the added benefit of soothing glare reduction for ease of nighttime driving and excellent solar heat reduction for those hot summer days, having window film applied to glass has become a necessity for many.
Installation Quality
High-grade urethane film is only as good as the installation, which is why installation quality is such a focal point in our business. Stretch marks, dimples, lifting, silvering, and wrinkles all determine whether or not the film is visible on a vehicle, especially on darker colored paint. Our 8+ years of experience and expertise in the industry has provided us with uncommon knowledge of how to prevent these issues from arising. The end-result is a near flawless install that does not alter the vehicle's aesthetics.
In order for us to create clear results, for exotics in particular, our specialization in custom work has become a marquee in the industry. Premier’s Signature Wrap is an alternative to precut kits in which the film is tucked and hidden wherever possible for aesthetics purposes.
Our goal at Premier is to provide the highest degree of installation excellence in the industry. All of our technicians are trained in-house and are required to undergo over 200 hours of Premier’s Advanced Certification Program - the industry's most comprehensive program. Our technicians are qualified by our Master Installer with 8+ years of paint protection film application experience. Our passion for excellence can only be exceeded by our drive to maintain Premier’s facilities as the elite paint protection film installation source for the high-end market.
